As Women we all know that we can at times become emotional, stressed out, and at a particular time of the month get irritated at the ‘small’ things, have cravings, over eat, need time away from partners and children and other domestic chores and just don’t quite get around to do something that gives back to yourself.
I could not think of more explicit way to describe my attitude towards this debilitating wellness destroying drug! Sugar Sux because it is addictive, more-ish, sends you on a high and crashes you to an all time low,it manipulates your moods, destroys your cells and appears all innocent and harmless. It comes in all colours, textures, shapes and sizes and can also be hidden in salty things to taste more apparently yummy.
So the first Superfood I will look at is one that I add to my Smoothie. Maca: Peruvian Superfood, though I actually use a raw cacao and maca blend. I can’t really taste it as I am sure the taste is subtle and the cacao more than likely has a stronger and more distinguishing flavour. Nevertheless the benefits of Maca: The Peruvian Superfood are priceless.
Superfood is the new buzz word for the modern nutrition guru! Man we love it, we love this stuff. Cutting edge information on foods or tactics to make us better, leaner, stronger, more radiant…and why not? Is our body NOT our temple?? why on earth would we not want to “SOUP” it up (gansta!) to pack our foods rich with antioxidant, minerals and energise ourselves.
